Hard weather for growing flowers in N.W. Montana on June 10th. Last time it did this was 1996 if I recall. This pictures are from work at Bibler Gardens. We all went home.
Oh, my, I don't blame everyone for going home. I would have, too. I had tulips full of snow - I think it was 2007, maybe '06. I am in Kentucky. I look forward to reading more. Your spring garden is very pretty in spite of the deer.
I know how it goes with the snow, I'm just north of you in Alberta. You would never know it snowed to look at the top 2 photos. You have a lovely setting, surrounded by the hills and green background.
The birds are singing, the air smells fresh and this is a great place for a garden. We can't afford too much fancy stuff and still have lights and running water, lol, so it's one rock at a time. We started out with one acre on a glacial moraine and four really cool old trees. Now it's hard to imagine what it used to look like. Every day I feel blessed to be here.
